Intermediate Wheel with Toan Tran
Saturdays, 9:30 am -12 pm
July 17, 24, 31 and August 7, 14, 21
Students of intermediate wheel throwing will refine their beginner skills to learn how to throw taller, larger, more complex pottery. To the same extent but in the opposite direction, they will learn how to make thinner, more delicate pottery. The three basic skills we focus on are collaring/choking, shaping, and trimming. The secondary skills students will be introduced to are surface design/manipulation, rim design/manipulation, and measuring for accompanying pieces. Objects of focus are vases, bowls, and lidded vessels. You must have had at least 1 beginning wheel class to take this class.
